Job Description: Work relationship Work under the responsibility of: Nursing Director Supervise: NA In direct cooperation with: medical and Non-medical team Coordination and AHDS: Be aware of AHDS protocols and policies make monthly report Join the training and meeting Upon request Participate every day in morning report General responsibilities: The head of midwife is responsible for the direction, organization and strategic planning of the MCH unit within a hospital. This executive is involved in assessing, evaluating and setting midwife and nursing care standards and objectives for the organization. In addition to overseeing the operations of the MCH unit, heads of MCH provide leadership and supervision to their direct reports, including nurse managers and the midwife and nursing staff. Among other responsibilities, individuals in this role will typically: Ensure that nursing care meets regulatory standards Review and approve midwifery policies and procedures Evaluate Midwife staff performance Collaborate with midwife and MCH nursing staff, upper management and external agencies in the coordination of patient care Train midwife staff and coordinate educational programs for patients and their families Facilitate meetings with medical staff from other departments Ensure that midwifery medical services are meeting patient needs Implement quality assurance systems Develop new patient care programs Prepare monthly report with coordination of nursing director Lead morning report of midwives and subordinate. Ensure capacity building of subordinate staff through on job training and meeting.
