Job Description: ~~• Handles specific logistical files independently • Implements and runs basic logistic procedures • Negotiates basic contractual matters with external interlocutors Specific Activities • Supply chain management; receiving Requisition Orders, provide assistance to requesters and proposes the best source of supply. • Ensures all necessary approvals for RO in accordance with the ICRC rules on financial management. • Is responsible for the follow-up process until goods / services are delivered by the supplier. • Establish and maintains a documentation process for tracking and monitoring of each RO. • Accountable for archiving of ROs and files. • Negotiates contractual terms and conditions of purchasing with suppliers. • Ensures that the general conditions on Purchasing are signed by suppliers when applicable. • Applies all relevant ICRC rules and regulations on purchasing. • Ensures that the best prices for quality is obtained. If needed, contact KAD purchase team or other parties for further analysis in order to achieve the objective of ensuring the best price for quality. • Establishes Purchase Orders or contracts according to the financial rules of the delegation and purchasing procedures. • Ensures the quantity and quality control of delivered goods together with the Warehouse and / or requester. • Supervise LAK purchaser and provide the necessary support in order for him to perform as best as possible. • Conducts market survey regularly in order to be updated on current price levels, quality trends and new products on the market. • Maintains and updates knowledge about main suppliers, periodically checks the market for potential new suppliers. • Monitors storage conditions ensuring that adapted hygiene and warehousing standard levels are applied. • Ensures application of FEFO and FIFO methods. • Organizes regular and ad-hoc inventories. • Maintains proactive relations with requester and suppliers.
