Act as the CB-DOTS/TB focal point at provincial and community level activities.
To Coordinate and facilitate the Challenge TB central mission
To manage the implementation of Community Based DOTS and over all Challenge TB assigned activities in (Name of province).
Develop action plan based on CB DOTS/TB indicators and activities.
Develop CB-DOTS supervisory plan at provincial level for CHSs to conduct regular supervision on CB-DOTS/TB activities at community and health facilities level.
To conduct monthly TB task force meeting  with coordination of PTC /CBHC, BPHS implementers and other stakeholders
To coordinate and actively participate in quarterly review meetings with NTP/CTB/CBHC, BPHS implementers and other stakeholders
Organize one day review meeting/Quarter for TB patients’ associations  and other community member at health facility level
Organize one day review meeting/quarter for CHWs at health facility level.
Assist health facilities staff to improve documentation and R&R especially CHW’s records
Improve CHWs recording and reporting system.
To assist the Challenge TB team to prepare the relevant data analysis and reports
To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports of Community Based DOTS activities and submit report to central office and copy to PTC.
Provide on the job trainings on TB for health workers at community and health facility
Active participation in joint monitoring and supervision visits with PTC and PHO staff

Administering, advising on and supporting of TB activities:


Assist NTP, PTC, BPHS implementers and health facility staff for TB SOP implementation
Assists PTC in the preparation of action plans and reports.
Provides technical and managerial assistance to the health care staff based on needs at various levels during the implementation of TB activities.
Assist PTC and PHO staff to distribute TB IEC materials at health facility and community
Assists the coordination and facilitation of any supervision and monitoring visits.
Adapt and implement tools and techniques to improve the quality and use of data for decision making.
Compile information on lessons learned and expertise within and outside the project.

    To carry out any other related tasks assigned by Challenge TB senior technical officer based on the need of project work plan

Job Requirements:

[*]        Medical Doctor Degree is must, Postgraduate level with training in public health or equivalents are preferable.

[*]        At least one  year’ experience in management of Tuberculosis and epidemiology and experience in management of community Based approach is required

[*]        Experience in supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the projects.

[*]        Demonstrate intermediate skills in IT and computers’ program such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, experienced with project planning applications

[*]        Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual and work in a multicultural environment.

[*]        Ability to travel to several HFs/HPs. (Province name)

[*]        Ability to conduct risk assessment at health facility level

[*]        Good  oral and writing skills in English

[*]        Knowledge of and experience in training and capacity building

Local professionals are preferred
