DAI seeks candidates for an anticipated multi-year USAID-funded trade and competitiveness initiative in Afghanistan. The program will support and work with the Government of Afghanistan to improve its capacity to formulate and implement liberal trade and investment policies; enhance integration in the regional and world economy through the promotion of trade and transit agreements, enhanced governance of economic corridors, and private sector linkages; strengthen trade facilitation through reforms and adoption of international best practices and standards as related to trade; and improve the competiveness of the Afghan customs, transport, and logistics sector

Possible areas of technical and advisory assistance under the ATARI program may include:

Export Promotion
World Trade Organization post-accession implementation
Transportation
Regional Trade Facilitation
Trade Policy
Agriculture
Customs Reform
Economic Governance
Private Sector Investment
Institutional Strengthening and Restructuring

DAI seeks qualified technical specialists skilled in the areas above.

In addition, DAI seeks program management and operations specialists who are skilled in:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline or field, advanced degree preferred
8 or more years of work experience in program design, development, advisory and/or implementation  relevant to the technical areas identified above
Fluency in English
Prior experience managing teams in activity planning and implementation
Knowledge of US Government and USAID regulations and policies for contractors preferred
