Position Objective:

The incumbent in this position is responsible to supervise overall implementation of Community Led Total Sanitation (Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS)) approach and lead all Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) related matters to identify the gaps and find improvement oppoturities for targeted areas and to improve health quality in the community and also support CLTS officers for e better implementation of the project.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

To develop working plan, supervise and monitor of hygiene promotion activities according to Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) approach.
Supervise and manage the team of CLTS facilitators in related communities of the province
To follow up and supervise CLTS steps in all communities:

Introduction and Rapport Building
Social mapping 
Transect walk/walk of shame
Calculation of feces
Flow diagram
Medical expenses 
Solution
Community Action Plan (CAP)
Monitoring

To support and supervise community mobilization for CLTS implementation.
Supervise facilitation of ignition and triggering process for Community Led Total Sanitation CLTS in targeted villages and schools.
Identify gaps and facilitate to address the gaps in close coordination with line manager and respective community.
Develop, maintain and enhance organization relationships with local government officials and other stakeholders to support smooth implementation of CLTS program.
To assist regional and area coordinator in progress updates on Community Led Total Sanitation activities.
Attend a full course of CLTS training at the central or/and provincial level
Supervise the triggered communities and interact with community members to assess and insure rapid change in the attitude of villagers on safe sanitation behaviors.
Assist the female CLTS facilitators liaising the female Community Health Workers (CHW) and establishing and training the Family Health Action Groups (FHAGs) from the mothers having children less than five years of age.
Provide technical advice to the CLTS facilitator in order to support villagers in building sanitary latrine
Facilitate visits to the target communities for the provincial and central level officials
Establish mutual and good relationship with the Community Development Councils (CDCs) and other influential leaders of the target villages
Arrange and facilitate Open Document Format (ODF) verification, certification and declaration ceremonies at the district and village level
Provide the regional and area coordinator with success stories and photos from the field
Reporting on regular bases
Respect the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) policies and regulations and practice accordingly

Occasional Significant Duties:

Meeting with government, related sectors and community regarding to program
Facilitate the Capacity building program with staff and communities
Flexibility in tight deadline

Planning for the implementation process

Coordinate the activities implementation and staff filed work

Job Specification:

University degree from in health major or a degree in sanitary engineering.
Strong work experience in health, hygiene and sanitation especially in CLTS projects is strongly preferred.
Ability to supervise respect staff.
At least two years experience in working with Community and Community mobilization.
Medium knowledge in English language skills
Ability of working with MS office package properly
