Job Description: BACKGROUND The objective of RADP-S is to improve food and economic security for rural Afghans in Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, and Uruzgan provinces. The focus is to improve productivity and profitability for targeted value chains selected from the wheat, high-value crop, and livestock sectors. This sustainable agricultural development program supports the consolidation of licit economies to fuel economic growth, including providing alternatives to poppy cultivation. RADP-S achieves this objective through a relatively long-term agricultural value chain approach designed to address sustainability as well as by supporting policy, legal, and regulatory development. JOB SUMMARY The Subcontractor Liaison Specialist will work under the supervision of the Gender Program Director to serve as a liaison for subcontractors and consultants to the Gender Unit. The Subcontractor Liaison Specialist will work with subcontractors and consultants to process documents related to deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact for key implementing partners (subcontractors) and consultants, reviewing all reports and deliverables. Collect and review monthly reports from subcontractors and consultants. Review implementing subcontractors’ and consultants’ training activities schedules and calendars to ensure they are on target to meeting their contractual targets. Includes monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and financial documents; attendance sheets, intake forms, pre- and post-test, etc. Ensure training activity documentation is reviewed and submitted to the respective departments correctly and in a timely manner. Collaborate with the M&E department to collect and report information necessary for tracking progress towards the objectives of the program as needed. Collaborate with the finance department to collect and report information necessary for tracking payments for gender activities as needed. Maintain tracker for number of participants trained in specific locations. Provide administrative support to consultants, subcontractors, and the Gender Unit as needed. Perform any other appropriate tasks that support the overall project, as assigned by the supervisor or his/her designee.
