Job Description: I-GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Nutrition officer based in Badakhshan is in general in charge of all the Supervision and implementation works of the TSFP /CMAM project in Badakhshan Office and, s/he will work under the direct supervision of PCH project Manager in Badakhshan Province. II-GENERAL DUTIES: Specific Responsibilities: S/he is Responsible for: Providing Technical support and on job Training to different level of facilities staff. Providing supervision and on job Training for the Staff. Insuring providing IYCF consultation in HFs by midwifes and in HPs by CHWs. Insuring Nutrition ,IYCF( 1st 1000 days of life, early and exclusive breast feeding up to 6 months, on time complementary feeding and his continuation , promotion , support mother breast feeding ) Insuring of prevention of breast feeding substitutes advertisements, and breast feeding substitute code of conduct are in place, and there is not any violence. Insuring integration of the nutrition awareness in daily time table of the health education. Insuring MoPH nutrition guidelines are in the HFs, and been discussed in the morning reports and internal conferences of the HFs. Insuring on time reporting and his data entry in the nutrition data base. Insuring measuring board, MUAC tape, scales and other nutrition equipment’s are well functioning in the HFs and (MUAC tape) in the HFs. Insuring the consultation and growth monitoring activities in the Family Health Action Groups are done and reported in selected districts. Monitoring and evaluation of progress made against set indicators. Ensuring the MoPH policies (BPHS and Nutrition component) are well understood and implemented by project staff (staff of health facilities). And there is not any action against MoPH’ nutrition strategies and policies. Ensuring on time and appropriate supply of health facilities ( RUTF , RUSF logistic) To prevent misuse of supply and his leakage in Bazaar. To ensure the HFs’ staff are getting and leaving the facility on time by direct monitoring and interview of the beneficiaries. Suggest appropriate disciplinary measures for staff of HFs to project Manager according to CAF Staff regulation. Ensuring appropriate fill out and on time submission of CMAM/HMIS /other reports from HFs and HPs. Coordinate different aspect of program with other technical staff to ensure fully implementation of CMAM. Ensuring the participation of community in CMAM program in close coordination with CBHC officer and CHW trainers. Establishing and following up of the referral system between different levels of HFs HPs. Coordinate program related issues with local authorities and community representative in order to ensure community involvement and satisfaction. Create a linkage of the program with community by establishing community heath committees and councils. Coordination of activities and sharing experiences with other stakeholder and partners in the relevant areas. Participate in Meetings and workshops in order to upgrade technical and managerial Nutrition skill. Other tasks given by Health and Project Managers. Supportive supervision of HFs according to the time table and action plan Daily duties supervision of the different staffs involved in the HFs activities. Follow up of the drug and food materials RUTF RUSF distribution. Follow up of hygiene (Chlorination-Hygiene of the SFP site-…) Organization and Communication status among the team. Control of Drug and RUSF, and other food supply consumption and adequate supplies. Efficiency of the program implementation and health Education.
