Job Description: Working closely with the TechWomen.Asia’s General Manager, business development, PR/ communications, local chapter’s management and operations team, the Program Manager is responsible for design, development, and implementation of TechWomen.Asia’s programs, projects and activities. Our key programmatic areas include: Development of TechWomen Ecosystems; Training and Capacity Building; Networking and Collaboration; Business Acceleration; Research for Policy Advocacy; Policy & Advocacy, and Cyber Security and Internet Safety. The Program Manager: Is responsible for a portfolio of program initiative projects in the range of 5-20 small and mid sized projects. Develops, monitors, manages, and evaluates small projects and support activities; Liaises with program colleagues in Kabul, the US and other locations on issues of project development and management; Assists executives in identifying, developing and managing TechWomen.Asia’s contacts with partner institutions and other international agencies; Contributes to public relations efforts and to knowledge dissemination and utilization, including participation in TechWomen.Asia and TechNation public and tech fora; Assists in revenue generation by preparing reports to partners, co-funders and donors; and Participates in team meetings. Detailed Job Responsibilities: Program Design/ Development: Assess proposals, including conceptual, methodological, operational, evaluative, and financial aspects; Conduct research, identify and develop proposals in coordination with business development team and in accordance with TechNation policies; Incorporate, at the project design stage, plan for dissemination and utilization of project results; Work and contribute within the program management team structure that guides the formulation and development of program strategies and related project portfolios; Explore the potential for support and participation by stakeholders; Discuss ways with various stakeholders, and help in developing partnerships for TechWomen.Asia activities, Contribute to the design new and existing project activities. Identify new areas of support and facilitate implementation of new initiatives; Represent TechWomen.Asia to donors, partners, and other external audiences as required in support of securing additional business; Contribute to the business development section of TechWomen.Asia/ TechNation; Prepare project documents for approval. Program Management Manage, in consultation with the operations/ HR staff, the preparation of contracts and offer letters, material purchases, travel arrangements, analysis of financial statements, adjustment of budgets and schedules, and project closures; Lead and manage each and every aspect of the project such as recruitment, curriculum development, training sessions and providing technical assistance to other project staff Provide technical supervision, including analysis of interim reports, participation in workshops, literature searches, identification and administration of resource persons/consultants in support of projects; Be the first point of contact for projects’ personnel for any routine issues; Receive weekly and monthly activity reports from the projects’ offices, review the reports and submit them to General Manager and Steering Committee for review and approval; Reviews final project reports, and negotiates revisions and/or additional requirements; Communicate with project personnel and other mid-level stakeholders to clarify issues, answer any questions or request documents or reports; Maintain projects files, and ensure every important external/internal correspondence is filed and secured; Lead the procurement of project related equipment’s, and conduct all the procurements according to the procurement policy of TechWomen.Asia/ TechNation. Program Evaluation Plan and manage project evaluations; Prepare project completion reports. Program Coordination Assist in coordinating activities of collaborative projects, and participates in regular program development and implementation meetings, and when required in other program area, branch and corporate meetings and committees; Collaborate with colleagues in Kabul and the regions in connection with the her/her portfolio of projects in the identification and evaluation of emerging and key development trends and priorities in a particular region. Program Supervision Lead, supervise and mentor project staff at the national level ensuring the design and delivery of successful projects; Oversee the implementation of project activities, analyze and monitor, progress and advise on timely corrective actions for proper project delivery Directly supervise project staff who may include project leaders/ officers, program staff, junior staff, interns and administrative and support staff; and Indirectly supervise staff from other departments assisting with the administration of projects.
