Job Description: The primary task of this position holder, is to prepare and examine financial records and make sure that records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly on time and all other finance/ accounting related tasks. He/ She performs the overviews of the financial operations of the business in order to help it run efficiently. Duties & Responsibilities: Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements. Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, verifying finished product. Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors. Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements. Secures financial information by completing database backups. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, ompleteness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Filing relevant documents of taxes withheld and deposited to Government Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
